Press Releases

This page provides an overview of press releases, newsletters and on-line information of ISONITRATE as produced by members of the ISONITRATE consortium.

  • December 2008: Public presentation of the project and the first results to the local authorities and local partners. Flyers of the project were distributed in French and German versions. Download the powerpoint presentation (in French). Foreword: the results presented here are preliminary results based on the first interpretation of an incomplete data set. Results presented here can't be considered as the final understanding of the different studied cases.
  • December 2008: Invited talk (D. Widory) about ISONITRATE to the AGU Fall Meeting in a session dedicated to "Sources, Transport, and Cycling of Nutrients in Aquatic Systems (H23)". Abstract of the presentation to AGU.
  • November 2008 : Groundwater conference, in Paris. Two posters were presented in a poster session dedicated to "Science and policy interface: how science supports groundwater management". A total of 120 flyers (english version) were distributed.
  • June 2008 : Consoil conference, in Milan. VITO representative have distributed flyers to that conference.
  • April 2008: Flyers were distributed during the RST Conference (Réunion des Sciences de la Terre / French Conference of the Earth Sciences) in Nancy (France). The French version was used according to the targeted audience.
  • Project Development and evaluation of a classification model to identify nitrate sources in surface water, Flemish project funded by IWT Flanders and executed by Ghent University. The steering committee consists of representatives of the Flemish Environmental Agency (VMM), Flemish Land Agency (VLM), EU-JRC-IRMM, and the Farmer's Organisation (Boerenbond).The ISONITRATE project has been mentioned and referred to during each 6 month project meetings.
  • Project "Risk based remediation: what and how?" held at VITO on 17/03/2008. Distribution of flyers to all 95 participants (mainly people from Flanders including people from industry, administration, consultants and universities). The presentation poster of ISONITRATE was also presented.
